5contacted Jake for an EICR and a distribution board upgrade at very short notice. I was incredibly impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. The work was completed to a high standard, and they took the time to walk me through the recommendations, including safety improvements for my smoke and CO alarms. They were tidy, efficient, and provided all the necessary certification promptly. It’s rare to find such reliable service on short notice—I highly recommend them to any landlord or homeowner

5Jake and his team recently installed spot lights, a pendant fitting and under cupboard lights in our new kitchen. He was very approachable and discussed with us what we needed for it to look amazing. The service was quick and very professional we would highly recommend him.

5Excellent, professional service from Jake, I spent hours researching the most qualified, reliable and neatest installation electrician in Warrington using Chat GPT AI which recommended Jake in the top 3 and I then looked into Jake’s website, Facebook and Instagram and was impressed with the quality of his workmanship and it was obvious he was proud of the work he completes with the photos of the high end jobs he’s trusted to do. My requirement was simply an EV charger installation but as I mentioned wanted a neat job from a qualified Electrician that knows what their doing and not a third party contractor (chancer) from Ohme/Hypervolt etc that’s just completed a 2 week EV installation course. Jake came out to quote as promised with updates on arrival times, quoted a fair price I thought was standard and I had in mind, after I went ahead with it he booked me in but to my surprise my new car was due to come a month early, Jake rescheduled to accommodate this. Again he kept my wife updated on the arrival time, did a lovely job as promised. During the initial quote he knew straight away what I needed with relation to my consumer unit knowing all the regulations and compliances. I was impressed. I have kept Jake’s number in my phone now and cancelled my electrical insurance homecare with British Gas as I know Jake will be a reliable electrician to call out should I need one.

1Not a good experience. I paid £650 for a new fuse box, but the problem was not fixed. Basic checks should have been done before recommending expensive work. I ended up paying for work and equipment that was not needed. Be careful and get a second opinion before agreeing to costly electrical work.

Hi Marta, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you feel unhappy with your experience, and we’d like to clarify the situation. The consumer unit in the property was identified as outdated and not meeting current safety standards. It lacked essential protections such as RCD and surge protection, and being a plastic unit in a rental property, it was not compliant with current regulations. For these reasons, we recommended an upgrade to ensure the installation was safe and up to standard. This work was carried out only after you agreed to proceed with the quoted price. Regarding the fault you experienced, our investigation found that both the oven and hob were connected to the same supply/isolator, which is not appropriate. One of the appliances was faulty, and once it was disconnected, the issue cleared. We advised that any replacement appliance would require its own dedicated supply and should not be reconnected to the existing shared circuit. We understand that further work may have been frustrating; however, reconnecting a new appliance into the same supply, particularly by an unqualified person, is not in line with electrical safety standards and can reintroduce faults or create new risks. Our recommendations were made with safety and compliance as the priority, and the consumer unit upgrade was both necessary and justified. We remain happy to assist further should you wish to have the correct supply installed for your hob. Kind regards, Jake

5Jake and his team added additional sockets at my property as well as spotlights to provide more effective lighting. His communication was thorough from the quoting stage to the works being carried out and they did a very neat and tidy job! Would highly recommend them to anyone else and will be certainly using them again in the future.
