  I initially engaged PP EMS to reconnect a battery to an existing PV system. The contractor spent a full day on site carrying out what was presented as necessary rewiring work, for which I was charged £350. Unfortunately, this intervention failed to resolve the issue. He subsequently returned for approximately one hour a few days later to rectify the issue and charged a further £150, yet the system remained non-functional. At this stage, I sought a second opinion from an alternative company. They attended promptly, at no initial cost, and identified that the wiring previously carried out was not only incorrect but potentially hazardous. The second company was able to diagnose the actual fault within an hour—something PP EMS had failed to achieve despite several hours on site and charges totalling £500. They later returned to rectify the system properly, including correcting the wiring and replacing faulty components. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns regarding both the technical competence and business practices involved. The pattern of repeated visits, escalating costs, and lack of resolution suggests an approach that prioritises continued billing over effective problem-solving. When I raised concerns and withheld the second payment—within my rights as a consumer—I was informed that no rewiring had taken place, which directly contradicts the physical evidence. I have photographic records from before and after the work, as well as documentation from the second company, clearly showing that alterations had indeed been made. Following this, I received demands for payment including threats of 8% interest, which are not applicable in this context. Communication then escalated into persistent messages via text, email, and post, which I consider excessive and inappropriate. Should this continue, I will have no hesitation in pursuing the matter formally. In light of the above, I cannot recommend this business. My experience raises significant concerns about workmanship, transparency, and professional conduct, and I would strongly advise others to exercise caution.

  Thank you for your feedback, Peter. This matter relates to fault-finding works on an existing installation not designed or installed by PP EMS. No alterations were made to the power wiring during our attendance. A second visit was carried out at your request as part of the diagnostic process, during which configuration and system issues were identified and addressed. The invoice referenced in this review has now been paid in full following a dispute between the parties. We do not accept the allegations made regarding the standard or safety of the work, and no supporting evidence has been provided to substantiate these claims. As this matter has now been concluded, it would not be appropriate to comment further here.

  Petros is an experienced & knowledgeable electrician who recently fitted an EV charger for me. His work is extremely neat and tidy and he is obsessive that every detail of the job is carried out to the highest standards.
