  We recently engaged LJ Electrical to replace and upgrade our main consumer unit. At the same time they upgraded our garage supply from a lighting rated circuit and cable to one that would provide light plus a ring main for tools, white goods and other equipment. To do this they ran in a 30amp rated armoured cable and provided a supplemental consumer unit in the garage plus associated local wiring. The work was carried out to a really impressive standard of care and attention to detail. Matt and Joe took time to explain everything that they were doing and their wiring was incredibly neat in the consumer units. In fact I wish I’d taken before and after photos.

  Brilliant work from start to finish. John and his team came up with excellent lighting solutions for our tricky conservatory setup and fitted everything, including our electric radiator, to a fantastic standard. They checked in with us throughout the process, and it was clear they genuinely valued our preferences. Highly recommend these guys!

  John and Matt have undertaken electrical work for us over many years. Matt's recent installation of a new consumer unit was carried out with professionalism and a high standard of work. They responded yesterday to a breakfast time emergency call out as our GF sockets tripped out. Matt attended within the hour and rapidly identified the problem as a faulty washing machine. Once isolated we were up and running! We are happy to recommend their friendly and expert services.

  I got in contact with Matt about getting an electric survey done for a house purchase. He got in contact with the agent and arranged access in short order and called me the next day to discuss the key points identified ahead of issuing the report. 10/10 would recommend.

  I recently had L J Electrical come to install an electric car charger and replace the switchboard in my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, they were exceptionally professional, arriving on time and clearly explaining every step of the work being carried out. Their knowledge was outstanding—they answered all my questions with confidence and made sure everything was installed safely and to a high standard.   Brilliant service from start to finish from this company! John was super friendly and easy to deal with and he was able to get everything booked in quickly which we really appreciated given the time pressure we were under. Matt and his colleague carried out the inspection and were incredibly thorough. Matt took the time to speak to me properly afterwards and explain everything in the report which was really appreciated. They uncovered a number of serious issues including parts of the house not having proper RCD protection, faults on some of circuits that could easily have gone unnoticed, etc etc . The EICR report itself came through very quickly and was detailed and easy to follow. Overall, really professional and super competent, friendly, and thorough. Extremely happy with them and would 100% recommend them to anyone needing an electrical inspection or any electrical work.
