  When I was looking for a care company 2 years ago, I was fortunate to get a recommendation from a friend whose mother had been cared for long term by Caring Hands. I did not know the Horsham area - I was just so lucky my friend's mum lived there too! How fortunate..... Since the first meeting, I had complete confidence in Amanda and her understanding of the challenges when introducing support for someone who perceives they are managing OK. Amanda, Nicola and the team have at all times been very sensitive to mum's evolving needs and they quickly became an integral element in supporting mum to continue living independently at home. Not necessarily always an 'easy client' - they all had the maturity and experience to manage her successfully - a key part of their role I suspect! Their professionalism and organisation are second to none, and they have never missed a visit in 2 years. The team they have are all excellent, the training and support they receive means that standards always remain high and consistent (unlike previous experience with other care companies I've worked with in the past). Sadly mum has recently passed away, but I know how fond she was of so many team members that have built a relationship with her over the long term. It's so refreshing to work with a company who really understands it's important to have continuity of care between the carers, and not have a procession of new faces. I cannot recommend Caring Hands enough - they offer an exceptional service which is not easy to do in this industry.

  I can’t fault the team at Caring Hands. The name is very apt for them. They care for my elderly uncle and help him live an independent life. The team are fabulous.

  My wife started working for this company in November. She had a negative experience with her previous employer. All I can say is thank you to Caring Hands. She is positive every day about going to work. I know she is very passionate, Caring Hands provide the service she is passionate about. The highest quality care, impeccable attention to detail and amazing staff support. I don't know much about care work, but I do understand when an employer supports staff and provides the support for them to achieve high standards.

  After a bad experience with another care company, I stumbled across Caring Hands. From the moment I met Amanda and Nicola, they were kind, caring and most of all highly professional. I had come to them with care experience, but what I discovered was that attention to detail had been sadly lacking in previous work places. As carers we are expected to administer medication. The training I received in this area has been second to none. Every aspect of this area is covered meticulously and the training and support is ongoing. Every client I go to really loves Caring Hands approach to care. The management team are always there for us and as a team, we can always speak to our colleagues should we need assistance. The care we provide is of the highest standard, whether it be personal care or companionship and Amanda and Nicola constantly monitor this. Our senior carers are a fantastic support and are always on hand should we need them. As a small team we are like family. From the start we are introduced to all of the clients face to face so they feel comfortable with their carers. I would highly recommend Caring Hands as not only a care provider but as an employer also. There is never a day a wake up and think I dont want to go to work. I look forward to every shift I do.

  My in-laws first engaged Caring Hands following a recommendation from another client after my mother-in-law suffered a stroke. As her needs became more complex, Caring Hands adapted seamlessly. Every carer employed by Caring Hands was sensitive, kind, thoughtful and, above all else, genuinely caring. It was only thanks to Caring Hands and their incredible carers that my mother-in-law was able to spend her final days at home, despite being bed-bound towards the end. When my father-in-law later required care — initially with some understandable objections — Caring Hands supported us in introducing visits gradually. As his needs increased, Amanda ensured that his care was always appropriate, respectful and responsive. Caring Hands’ carers spotted medical issues more than once and would always call the GP or ambulance, depending upon the situation. Caring Hands understood just how important it was to my father-in-law to remain at home, and they did everything they possibly could to support his independence for as long as possible. On more than one occasion, Caring Hand’s carers and management went well beyond their duties, staying with my father-in-law after falls and even waiting in their own time until an ambulance arrived. Nothing was ever too much. Caring Hands managed medication carefully and communicated clearly and accurately with us at all times. As we live some distance away and could not always visit daily, the family portal was invaluable, allowing us — with our loved ones’ permission — to read daily notes written by the carers. If there was ever a concern, whether health or welfare related, Amanda would always make time to speak with us personally and promptly. Caring Hands is extremely well run. All staff are professional, compassionate and human. We have engaged carers across many areas of the country to support long distance care of loved ones, and no other care company has come close to the standard of care provided by Caring Hands. We will forever be grateful to Amanda and her wonderful team for the exceptional care shown to both my mother-in-law and father-in-law — and to us as a family. We simply cannot recommend Caring Hands highly enough and, in fact, have already done so quite a few times.

  I have total respect for Caring Hands, who cared for my dear wife, Margaret, so brilliantly. All the ladies were/are so friendly and professional. They treated Margaret with so much respect, were quick to observe problems, some of which necessitated calling 999. A very real friendship developed and it was so good to hear the laughter and singing, something I missed after Margaret passed away. The bungalow seemed so quiet afterwards. I would recommend Caring Hands to anyone looking for a Care Agency, as I did to a cousin whose elderly mother needed care help. Peter Head
