  I had some extra sockets fitted & channels drilled out of wall to hide central heating wires laid in plastic stripping, 'now behind plaster' Glynn started the job the very nxt day after contacting him, he's very efficient, friendly & helpful Glenn was very respectful of my home & did his upmost to keep the mess down & vacuum after I'm very happy with the jobs hes done he came to do 1 job & did several, 1 of which was his question to me did I want a plug behind the TV on the wall YES, I plan on using Glynn again My plaster saw the socket work with temporary extra cover round it, he was very impressed "That's a property electrician you had, you should see some of the jobs i have to plaster around" Happy to of paid what he quoted & asked for. I'd totally recommend Glynn to anyone needing an electrician

  Hi Christina, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a great review. Reviews like yours really help local people understand the type of electrical work I carry out and the standard of finish they can expect. For your project, I used my industrial vacuum, which is specifically designed to capture the dust created when chasing walls, along with a wall chaser where possible to create neat channels for the cables. In the areas where the wall chaser could not be used, I carefully used an SDS chisel to complete the work. To minimise disruption while waiting for the plasterer, I fitted finger guards behind the socket faceplates. This allowed the sockets to remain safely in use while giving the plasterer access to achieve a good finish around them. As there were a few days between me completing the electrical work and the plastering being carried out, this helped keep everything practical for day-to-day use. I agree that the hallway and lounge look much better now the plastic trunking has been removed and the wiring has been concealed within the walls. I was also pleased to hear your plasterer was impressed with the installation. Comments from other tradespeople are always appreciated, as they recognise the importance of leaving work neat and making life easier for the trades that follow.   Glynn came to change the sockets in my house and to add new ones. He explained how he would approach the task and worked quickly. He even arranged for an excellent plaster to come. I would recommend his work to others as he worked with care and is very knowledgable in his trade. Plus all the sockets were straight!

  I needed to power an electric toilet seat that I'd purchased and contacted Glynn who devised a plan. He then did a really tidy and efficient job and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The price was affordable too. Thanks again!

The installation itself was relatively straightforward, but careful consideration went into achieving the best result while keeping the installation discreet and avoiding unnecessary disruption to the décor. As surface-mounted accessories in the bedroom were not preferred, a slimmer 16x16mm trunking was used neatly along the top of the Victorian skirting board. This provided a practical solution that blended in well visually, without the need to channel the walls and carry out additional plastering work. Your Google review really means a lot, as it helps people in the local community see the type of electrical work I carry out on a daily basis. Many homeowners may be looking for a similar neat and practical solution in their own home. I haven’t yet seen the uploaded photo, but a good picture often explains the finished result far better than words can.   Needed an electrician to fit a new 32amp isolator switch so we could switch from a gas hob to electric hob. Glynn was very professional and punctual in coming round to survey the job and was very thorough in making lots of calculations as to the power outage our system could take. He arrived promptly on the day/time arranged and fitted the electric hob for us, added the isolated switch and upgraded the thickness of the wiring we had in place. The job ended up a lot more involved than first thought as the ingress for the existing gas hob needed to be trimmed down quite a lot, but this was no problem to Glynn who was able to make the necessary alterations to make everything fit. Punctual, pleasant, professional and hard working and clean and tidy. First time using his services but wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for any electrical services and I would highly recommend him

The circuit has now been fully upgraded and future-proofed, with 10mm cable used throughout rather than partially, ensuring it’s safe and suitable for long-term use. It was also interesting to install an isolator specifically to prevent the hob being accidentally switched on — something that can happen with touch controls, especially with pets. That’s definitely a consideration I’ll be discussing with customers in the future. I’m pleased everything fits well and has been finished neatly.   Had an Isolation switch installed and shower box replaced, Super friendly and professional, definitely knows what hes doing. Booking a time in for the job was easy and straightforward as he was always accomodating. Always charges fair price and gets the job done superbly, highly recommend! Both jobs were carried out to a high and satisfactory level, even cleaning up after his jobs, If anyone is looking for a reliable, fair and professional electrician, would again, highly recommend!

  Glynn came next day after I rung him very punctual, I need a new pump for my shower he came and sorted what was needed, wasn’t straightforward but he was very professional and spent most of day until it was sorted and replaced and full working order recommend

  Glyn came out to us at Gildersome to fit a new light at the top of the stairs but he did such a great job we got him to fit one in the bathroom and kitchen. He went and bought the lights for us. He rang before coming to do the work and was very tidy. Would certainly recommend him.

Purchasing the light fitting on your behalf isn't something I normally do, but in this case it was important to find a fitting with a similar footprint to the existing one. This meant that, with just a small amount of filling, there was no need to redecorate the ceiling afterwards. I also remember the light being fitted to the beam that you mentioned had caused difficulties in the past. Fortunately, everything went smoothly and the installation was completed without any issues. The new bathroom light also made a noticeable difference and really improved the overall feel of the room. Thank you again for your review.   Glynn recently replaced 2 outdoor flood lights at my home. Glynn was very quick to provide a detailed quote and agree a time to undertake the job. He was very professional, explained what he was doing and the left everything spotless. The price was very competitive compared to other quotes received.
