I've had a hypervolt Pro 3 for almost 4 months and its a good looking charger with a great app, which is easy to use, I would say the WIFI has been an issue, the signal was apparently too weak, but everything else in the house was ok with it, so I would suggest in the next model that is addressed, that said the customer service was fantastic and provided information quickly and everyone I got in contact with was human, no bots! In the end they sent me a free adaptor to extend the wifi and that has solved the connection issues. Charge wise its worked every time and it seems to be faster then I expected. When its overnight and for 9p a kwh (not even the cheapest), it ends up being so much cheaper then the public charging network or petrol (about £1-£3 for a week of travel) massive savings even after the cost of the charger is taken into account.

I had an entirely chaotic experience during purchase which caused me to cancel my order rather than pursue installation. I felt it likely that if the purchase phase was this chaotic, i.e. when they wanted the revenue, then the support phase and subsequent customer relationship was likely to be worse and so the risk was too high.

This Hypervolt Home Pro has been a nightmare since it was installed. Was installed about 1 year ago when it kept failing to connect to the WiFi even though the hub was about 2 feet away! The engineer even struggled and had issues! Been working for about 10 months then we recently changed network provider like we all do at times to save some money. Now the charger is doing exactly the same thing as it was a year ago! Got an EV car on the drive which we cannot use because we can’t charge it! Called the service team at Hypervolt been waiting over a week now for an engineer. The service from Hypervolt is very poor. Hypervolt sub contract the install and any on site technical issues. The joys of owning an EV NOT!

Product is good, works fine with Intelligent Octopus Go. App is good although now I hardly ever use it given charging is controlled by Octopus. Fitted since November so too early to tell how well it wears. They're local installer (Elecology) was very good too.

I purchased the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro in February 2024 and had it installed without any problems. All was good however after a couple of weeks the charger kept going offline. Now it's important to mention that I could always charge the car, even when it was offline as there wasn't a problem with the power supply, it was just the remote connection to the unit meant I couldn't access the usage history, etc from the app. I called Hypervolt who arranged for the original installer to come and check the unit however after he couldn't find anything that was causing the fault they said they'd review internally and come back to me. After several weeks of radio silence I had to chase Hypervolt at which point they agreed to send out a new Home 3 Pro charger. The new charger was quickly fitted by the original installer with everything working as it should to begin with. Update (14/9/24): The new unit has again started dropping offline with the same advice given for me to mess about resetting a live power supply. Upon further investigation my WiFi signal is now being blamed even though the installer showed it as being fine during all 3 previous visits. The latest option that has been proposed to me is pay more money for a hard line install putting holes through the externals wall, etc. I summary, the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro is a smart looking charger and will soon have additional tariff compatibility (for cheaper rate EV charging) however unless you enjoy resetting your power supply regularly I would suggest looking at alternative options.

As a standalone charger and piece of hardware to be fair, I've been using it for a few years now and it's been reliable. I've had a couple of issues crop up which have been solved with a call to support. The White face plate has yellowed, and the holster that attaches to the wall has gone from being black, to a bleached grey. Neither affects the charging however something to bear in mind if your charger is outdoors as mine is. Note* Hypervolt chargers are not Octopus Go EV tariff Compatible. You cannot therefore save by using the best energy tariffs available on the market. Just recently, Hypervolt announced that they were starting development of the software necessary to make it compatible, being available (possibly) by the end of 2024! Whereas multiple other brands are already compatible. I'm uneasy at the thought that I can't make use of the best tarrifs because of a charger limitation. I bought British and homegrown thinking it would mean that the brand would be agile, working quickly on new development. Overall, good for reliability, not very good for keeping up with the pace of newer smart chargers. I think this would be fair.

Brilliant looking charger. If you are going to attach something in front of your house, you want something that looks nice. All chargers do the same thing but it is worth spending a bit extra and get something that looks nice. This is a British company who designs their product and build them. Thier charger looks nice and sold build with all the safety features. Unlike tesla charger which needs extra safety for UK. The company will recommend installers which are of high calibre. I used one of them. Elcology did the installation, they were absolutely brilliant. I have not stated using the charger, but so far, the app is good. With regards to customer service, so far, no issue. I will be using Tesla app to control the charger until they interface with Octopus. 5 months later.... The charger is working brilliantly and they have made it OCTOPUS compatible.
