  I had a really great experience here. The staff were personable, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease from the start. I never felt rushed at any point—they took the time to listen and genuinely wanted to help me find what was right for me. My prescription is spot on, and I’m really happy with the outcome. It was a refreshing change compared to some of the bigger high street opticians, where the experience can sometimes feel a bit impersonal. Overall, excellent service and a much more personal touch. I’d definitely recommend them and will be returning in the future.

  Went in as my sunglasses were missing a screw, they replaced it and tightened the others straight away free of charge. Really nice people!

  Fantastic after sales service from at Paul Rutter Opticians, Bedale. Having squashed my glasses, and unable to wear them anymore, James came to my rescue and fixed them straight away with no charge. Always a friendly knowledgable service. Highly recommend.

  I popped in during my lunch break, to rather cheekily ask if they could adjust my glasses, which were purchased elsewhere. They did this quickly, cheerily and efficiently, and I can now cycle home without my glasses falling off. Thank heavens for friendly independent local businesses!
