  Absolutely stunning Bank of Scotland headquarters on The Mound! The grand Baroque Revival architecture with its magnificent copper dome and ornate details is one of Edinburgh’s most impressive landmarks. The building looks even more dramatic from Princes Street Gardens, especially when lit up at night. A true architectural gem in the heart of the city. Highly recommend admiring it if you're in Edinburgh!

  An imposing, monumental neo-classical temple to commerce that dominates the lower slope of The Mound. With its massive, rusticated stone base and grand Corinthian portico, it appears as a fortress of financial stability, purposefully designed to inspire trust and awe in the fledgling bank's customers (it was founded in 1695). The Bank of Scotland building is a masterpiece of confident, symbolic commercial architecture. It successfully translates the language of ancient temples and civic power to the world of finance, creating one of Edinburgh's most powerful and enduring architectural statements. It is less a building to visit and more a monument to be contemplated as part of the city's dramatic landscape.

  Fancy building with people in fancy suits, but they won‘t change old paper bank notes into the new plastic ones :( Instead they showed me a list of places that would offer this service. The catch: Those addresses (post offices) don‘t feel responsible either.

  Really disappointed with you ,10 days before my car insurance was due to renew you automatically renewed it taking £435 without any communication no email or letter since last year! I'd decided to go with another insurer £100 cheaper and to top it all you have charged me £10 cancellation fee if its your policy to trick ex-customers out of a further £10 then it should be made clearer!
